Abstract
Objective A sulfur concentrate in Shandong contained 0.47% copper. In order to improve the utilization rate of mineral resources, Method technological mineralogy research and copper recovery process tests were conducted on the sulfur concentrate. ResultProcess mineralogy research showed that the main valuable element in the sulfur concentrate was copper, which mainly existed in the form of chalcopyrite, and the sulfur mainly existed in the form of pyrrhotite. Chalcopyrite had fine dissemination granularity and low dissociation degree, and was mainly associated with gangue and pyrite. The monomer dissociation of pyrrhotite was good. On the basis of mineralogy research , the process of pyrrhotite pre-discarding regrinding-copper flocculation flotation was adopted to finally obtain copper concentrate with Cu grade of 16.35% and Cu recovery rate of 79.70%. ConclusionThe experimental results were good, achieving fine copper mineral recovery from the sulfur concentrate, providing a technical basis for the recovery of valuable elements in this type of sulfur concentrate.
