Abstract
ObjectiveIn order to clarify, the oxidation of sphalerite and its influence on floatability, Method the sphalerite was oxidized in air, water, potassium permanganate and aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, respectively. At a suitable pH value, the sphalerite oxidized at different conditions was floated by three collectors, DJHY, BXZX and JXZZ. The influence of oxidation on the floatability of sphalerite was explored by means of infrared spectrum analysis, contact angle detection and Zeta potential detection. Result & ConclusionOxidation test shows that the oxidation degree of sphalerite is different at different conditions. The results of contact angle detection and flotation test show that the floatability of sphalerite is improved after mild oxidation, but decreased after moderate oxidation. Infrared spectrum detection shows that there is chemical adsorption between the three collectors DJHY, BXZX and JXZZ and sphalerite. Zeta potential detection shows that the collector has greater influence on the electrokinetic potential of sphalerite after oxidation in water than in air.
