    Research Progress of Magnetic-flotation Equipment for Magnetite

    • Objective This article comprehensively reviews the recent research progress made by domestic and foreign researchers on the magnetic-flotation combined force field separation equipment for magnetite and its separation performance. Method&Result Based on the classification of magnetic systems, the magnetic fields in flotation equipment mainly include permanent magnets, steady-state electromagnetic coils, and pulsed electromagnetic coils. The addition of magnetic systems can effectively improve the separation efficiency of magnetite. This paper further explores the mechanism of the influence of the magnetic field on the flotation water, flotation reagents, and flotation pulp during the flotation process. Through reasonable adjustment of the magnetic field, it is possible to optimize the pH value, solubility, and surface tension of the flotation water, as well as the viscosity and dispersion of the reagents. At the same time, the magnetic field can also change the electrical conductivity, wettability differences, and apparent particle size of the pulp, providing an effective way to improve the separation efficiency of magnetite. Conclusion Compared with traditional single-force field separation equipment, the magnetic-flotation separation equipment exhibits superior separation performance and has been widely used in industrial production. It is of great significance for improving the separation efficiency of magnetite, reducing production costs, and enhancing overall economic benefits.
