Experiment research on cassiterite dressing from a fine tailings using falcon centrifugal separator and industrial practic

The large loss of tin in fine tailings in a large tin mining is a serious problem. By sieve analysis tests and mineral composition analysis of the fine tailings, the results showed that the cassiterite minerals in fine tailings aredifficult torecycle. Compared with the recycled indexes of differentgravity separation equipments, Falcon centrifugal separator is the most effective facility for the fine tailings. Through a serious of parameter adjustments, the research determined the optimumconditions for Falcon Centrifugal separator sorting the fine tailings. Industry application shows that large Falcon centrifuge can recover cassiterite from fine tailings effectively, which adds economic benefit for the enterprise.
