Experimental research on beneficiation for a chromite ore in south Africa

A chromium iron ore tailings with Cr2O3 grade of 23.07% is in South Africa. In order to develop and utilize resources reasonably and improve the utilization ratio of resources, this paper takes the tailings of the chrome iron ore as the research object, using four schemes full fraction shaking table gravity separation process, full fraction classification gravity separation process, grinding-gravity separation process and grinding – classification- gravity separation process for experimental study. Better beneficiation indicators of Cr2O3 grade of 46.36%, recovery rate of 81.21% can be obtained by using grinding – classification- shaking table gravity separation process.
