Abstract:
This is an article in the field of metallurgical engineering. Iron oxide pigment accounted for the largest proportion of inorganic pigments, and its preparation process was mostly chemical synthesis, which caused serious pollution in production. In order to solve this problem, this paper carried out the test study on the preparation of natural iron oxide pigment from specularite. The total iron grade of the ore is 38.97%, and vitrinite is scaly, which is a high quality raw material for preparing iron oxide pigment. The results show that iron oxide pigment with performance up to national standard can be prepared from specularite ore by "stage separation-purification-ultrafine grinding process". The median diameter of the product reached 1.87 μm, the content of specularite increased to 96.50%, and the purity reached the national grade A standard of iron oxide pigment. The product has no volatilization at 105 ℃ and meets the requirements of V1 iron oxide pigment. The relative coloring power of the product reaches 96%, which meets the requirements of the first grade iron oxide pigment. The research results provide references for specularite ore separation and a new idea for preparing iron oxide pigment with excellent performance.
